Whaats up people?!

I’m a massive fun of movies, and I often ask myself- why do movies concerning hip hop are always just biographies of rappers? I props them, because they take us into realities of each rappers career. However- I’m looking and waiting for a movie which will make my jaw drop but at the same time will connect to my and yours lifestyle! All of you saw “8 mile”, “Get Rich or Die Tryin” or “Notorious”, definitely worth checking out if you haven’t seen it yet. On the other hand there are many movies starring rappers, which not necessary focus on biography of the starring cast. Soon, the warm May evenings will kick us out of our yards, but for now if you don’t know- now you know- u got to check these out:

It’s obvious- everyone knows “Friday”-stoner’s classic comedy starring Ice Cube, who’s not only a rapper, but also an actor, movie producer and director. Interestingly enough his son is following father’s path and we will soon have a chance to check him out on the big screen in a movie about NWA. He will appear as… hmm… his dad, but as Cube said in the interview with Jimmy Fallon, his son went through recruitment just like the other candidates and is preparing thoroughly for the role.

Next one up is also in a smoky atmosphere of THC up in the air- “How High” where Method Man and Redman are playing the main characters. In 2011, from Hip Hop Kemp’s stage they have both mentioned plans for “How High 2”- but would we ever see continuation of that crazy story? Let’s freakin hope so!

Now maybe you fancy a documentary? Do you want to visit south Bronx in the 70’s? Well then “Put it on, put it on!”- “80 Blocks from Tiffany’s” ! I do recommend it, because this film documents and lets you understand the roots of our culture!

Hip hop,

Enjoy,

Poland FlagHip Hop Says: TBT- oldschool’owe filmy!

Sieeemanko,

Nastepna z serii komedii I tez akurat w klimacie duzego stezenia THC w powietrzu to “How High”, gdzie glowne role obsadzaja Method Man i Redman. Oby…

Chcesz sie przeniesc na ulice poludniowego Bronxu w latach 70tych- odpalaj “80 Blocks from Tiffany’s”. Polecam bo ten film dokumentuje i pozwala zrozumiec korzenie naszej kultury!

Hip Hop,

Enjoy
